Dandelions

When you look at a field of dandelions do you see a hundred weeds or a hundred wishes?

We spent all of our time last week basking in the warmth of the sun.

It is nice to see the sunny side of spring.

We did our painting underneath the umbrella of our little picnic table.

We had a basket of cut up vegetables and marshmallows to use for our art.

How they love art.

Then, we took our leftover paint and swam in our pool.

You know you want to try it.

It was good fun. and I do believe the neighbors were staring.

After we took our showers via water hose, we ate barbecued chicken and had smores for dessert.

It felt as if summer were here already.

see the little rainbow to the right?

The next day, we did very much the same things. Running barefoot in the grass & spending much of our time poolside.

bare feet!

Sometimes in photos, I see Ashton as a teenager. and it terrifies me.

He's liking this, "cooking US dinner" thing.

I've never had a better hot dog.

It's nice to see this in the yard again.

and we've been seeing the moon out much more during the day.

Ashton has been excited about riding his big wheel more then ever lately. We're thinking he needs to graduate to a real trike this year.

On Friday we visited the railroad bridge. Just about a few footsteps away from where Josh and I had our first apartment. It brings back such good memories.

Ashton's favorite place in the whole wide world.

I watched the kids stare in amazement as the bridge vibrated and the trains thundered below.

Later, we went to visit the falls for the first time this year.

Ashton loved the leaves.

Amd Josie enjoyed catching some air.

I love the trees here.

I spy with my little eye a moon.

Rest assured, we'll be back again.

On Saturday, it was a bit overcast but the weather was still perfect for the beach.

....and there you have it!

I have more to share with you but perhaps that will be saved for another blog. For now, I leave you with this...

If you hear a voice within saying, ”You can’t paint”, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced. -Vincent Van Gogh

Going to keep on painting,
Jessie
