(but first)

The last days of June...

We went to Kidz Club one Saturday morning. In ways, it's become a date outing for Josh and I. We can sit back with our pizza slices and watch the kids enjoy being kids. We love it.

We visit Moo & Matt most every weekend.

The kids love the garden.

Ashton and Moo. Their bond is something really special.

Cousin Ally came over for a slumber party

Now.

On to July.

We packed the car with backpacks, fishing poles and juice pouches and headed to camp this weekend. Ashton seemed tired as we were loading up the car. He had been up late the night before so we assumed he was just exhausted from the previous evening.

He seemed happy as we were in the water. and as he paddle boated his way out into the lake with his, "Aunt Tim." A little tired. but happy.

His face wasn't quite as smiley as we were used to though. and when he got off the boat... he just went a bit sluggish in my arms. and he felt warm. very warm.

We made the quick decision to pack up and drive back home. Even if his illness wasn't quite serious... we didn't want to take the chance. So we said our goodbye's and headed back.

We brought him to Prompt care around 10:00 that night. He had a very high fever. I had never seen him so sick. and my mommy heart was breaking.

With medicine though, he began feeling much better.

Your first Amoxicillin. I'm sorry. I had to. *smiles*

By Sunday, we were up and playing again.

and by Monday afternoon, we were able to leave the house again. We went over to Moo and Matt's for a bbq and enjoyed the fireworks at the state fair. It was a wonderful way to end the long holiday weekend.

Matt even gave the kids (and daddy) "tractor" rides. Putting the biggest smiles I had seen all weekend on Ashton's face.

If only my husband could always have a long weekend. *sigh*

It's not the 4th of July until you see fireworks!

~*Enjoy your July*~

Love, jessie
