Celebrating

...and so it snowed.

They went out each day for the entire week until the snow turned into mud puddles.

I find it is so easy to appreciate everything this time of year.

...Hearing the hum of the heater. Coats. Mittens. Boots. Food on the table. A hot shower and warm blankets. Being together.

On Thanksgiving, we went to Moo and Matt's in the morning.

We woke up to a fresh blanket of new snow that day. All the world was clean again.

After our Thanksgiving dinner, we returned home to get into our pajamas. We all hopped in bed in the early afternoon and watched a marathon of Christmas movies. Enjoying popcorn, cocoa and reeses pieces until way past bedtime.

Celebrating uncle Joely's birthday. (The actual picture of uncle Joel was too blurry to see)

Off to get our Christmas tree on December 1st. Josie was so anxious to see Santa afterward, she didn't have time to pose for a picture.

Upon walking up to Santa, Josie froze and hid behind Josh and I. Ashton confidently told Santa what all three of them wanted for Christmas. Josie and Liam just stood staring at him from the distance all wide-eyed and frozen.

Our tree!

Ashton upon finishing, "Now I am going to get my chair so I can just sit back and enjoy it all."

Stocking Christmas countdown chains.

Mitten ornaments with their handprints inside

Never underestimate a pregnant woman and her ability to find a way to bake cookies even though ingredients are frightfully scarce in the house.

I laugh at the things I sometimes find on our floors

Boots likes to sleep on the counter in the winter time. She loves to feel the steam coming up from the dishwasher.

Constructing a Rice Krispie treat Christmas train.

I hope you are feeling warm and loved this afternoon. I am sending much love your way.

xoxo, Jessie
